TEA MARKET REPORT – Sale 21 held on Monday, 21st September, 2026
CTC LEAF: 51,892 packages of tea on offer met with a good demand but once again at easier rates.
BROKENS: Well made good liquoring sorts were in good demand but prices eased slightly following quality. All other varieties met with a fairly good demand and were easier often by upto Tk.5/-. BLF tea also met with a fairly good demand and were easier by a similar margin.
FANNINGS: Well made good liquoring Fannings met with a good demand but prices were easier. Other varieties met with quite a fair demand but were again an easier market. BLF tea also met with a fairly good demand and were easier by a similar margin.
DUST: 10,443 packages of tea on offer met with a good demand. Good liquoring Dusts sold well at easier rates. Mediums met with a good demand but prices declined by Tk.6/- to Tk.8/- following quality. Plain/BLF Dusts sold at an easier rate with few withdrawals. Blenders lent good support with fair interest from the Loose tea buyers.
COMMENTS: Demand was fairly good in this week’s sale but prices saw a further decline following some drop in overall quality of the offerings. Blenders were the mainstay of the market with fair support from the Loose tea buyers.
Dusts were again an easier market.
