CTC LEAF:  47,420 packages of tea on offer met with a stronger  demand.

BROKENS: Well made good liquoring Brokens were a stronger market particularly smaller varieties which appreciated further following competition. Medium varieties were a good market and were mostly firm. Plain varieties received a little more enquiry and tended dearer. BLF teas met with more demand at around last levels with less withdrawals.

FANNINGS: Well made good liquoring Fannings were the strongest feature of the market and prices advanced quite substantially following competition. Medium and plainer varieties were also a strong market and were firm to slightly dearer. BLF teas met with more demand at around last levels with less withdrawals.

DUST: 9,752 packages of tea on offer met with strong demand. Good liquoring Dusts attracted good competition and were fully firm to slightly dearer. Their Mediums also sold well at around last levels occasionally Tk.3/- to Tk.4/- more  closely following quality. Plain/BLF Dusts met with a dearer market with hardly any withdrawals. Blenders lent good support with fair interest from the Loose tea buyers.

COMMENTS:  A stronger market prevailed throughout the sale with the best varieties fetching upto Tk.280/- and above. Blenders lent useful support for all varieties with improved enquiry from the Loose tea buyers.

Dusts met with an improved demand.
