AUCTION TIMING

CTC LEAF:  26,857  packages of  tea on offer met with a very strong demand.

BROKENS: Black, well made, good liquoring BOPs were a strong market and sold between Tk.280/- and Tk.310/- and more. GBOPs were the strongest feature of the market and these realised prices between Tk. 310/- and  Tk. 350/-  and more. Below best varieties also sold well and these could be quoted between Tk.275/- and Tk.290/-. BLF teas sold well and realised between Tk.230 and Tk.255/-.

FANNINGS: Black, well made, good liquoring Fannings were a strong feature of the sale and realised prices between Tk. 300/- and Tk.330/-. Below best also sold well and realised between Tk.275/- and Tk.285/-. BLF teas sold between Tk.230/- and Tk.255/-.

DUST: 5,3881 packages of  tea on offer met with a strong demand. Good liquoring Dusts met with a good competition  and sold above Brokers’ valuation. Others also sold well at  dearer rates and these realised prices between Tk.280/- and Tk.310/-. BLF Dusts sold between Tk.240/- and Tk.261/-. Blenders lent good support with fair interest from the Loose tea buyers.

COMMENTS: This was the First Sale of the Season 2026-2027 where offerings were much higher than Sale 01 in the previous year. All varieties were strongly competed for resulting in advancement of prices particularly black, well made, good liquoring types. Blenders operated strongly with Loose tea buyers operating in greater strength.

Dusts met with good competition.
