TEA MARKET REPORT – Sale 26held on Monday, 26th October, 2026

CTC LEAF: 49,689 packages of tea on offer met with a
fairly good demand.
BROKENS: Well made good liquoring varieties continued
to meet with a fairly good demand and prices eased only
slightly. Medium sorts also met with a fairly good demand
but were easier following quality. Plainer types met with a
fair demand and were easier. BLF teas met with a fairly
good demand but prices eased further.
FANNINGS: Well made good liquoring Fannings were
again a good market but were slightly easier over last.
Mediums were a fairly good market and were mostly a little
easier. Plainer varieties met with a fair demand at easier
rates. BLF teas met with a fairly good demand but prices
eased further.

DUST: 11,027 packages of tea on offer met with a fairly good
demand. Good liquoring Dusts sold well at around last levels.
Mediums saw fair demand but were easier by Tk.6/- to Tk.8/-
following quality. Plain/BLF Dusts again were in less demand
and witnessed fair withdrawal. Blenders lent strong support
with fair interest from the Loose tea buyers.
COMMENTS: Blenders continued to provide good support
for all varieties especially for brighter liquoring types which
were about steady. Loose tea buyers were selective this week.
Dusts were an easier market.
