CTC LEAF : 55,252  packages of  tea on  offer met with a fair demand.

BROKENS: Well made good liquoring Brokens once again met with a fairly good demand but were easier.  Medium types also met with a fairly good demand again at easier rates. Plainer types met with less demand and prices were easier with more withdrawals. BLFs met with a restricted demand with quite heavy withdrawals.

FANNINGS: Well made good liquoring Fannings were a fairly good market but prices were slightly easier following quality. Medium varieties were also a fairly good market but prices eased slightly. Plainer types met with less demand and prices were easier with more withdrawals. BLFs met with a restricted demand with quite heavy withdrawals.

DUST: 11,234 packages of tea on offer  met with a fairly good demand. Good liquoring Dusts sold well at slightly easier rates. Their Mediums were also a lower market and prices declined upto Tk.10/- closely following quality. Plain/BLF Dusts met with less demand and sold barely steady with quite fair withdrawals. Blenders lent strong support with fair interest from the Loose tea buyers.

COMMENTS: This sale was held two days later than schedule where offerings were again higher. Blenders lent good support particularly for the good liquoring varieties on offer whilst Loose tea buyers were selective. As a result, withdrawals were more this week.

Dusts sold well.
