TEA MARKET REPORT – Sale 38 Held on Monday 27th January, 2025

CTC LEAF: 63,400 packages of tea on offer met with less demand.

BROKENS: Good liquoring Brokens met with a fairly good market and were firm to slightly easier. All other varieties continued to meet with less demand and were easier over last with more withdrawals. BLF teas continued to meet with a selective market with heavier withdrawals. 

FANNINGS: A few good liquoring Fannings met with a fairly good demand and these sold around last levels in line with quality. All other categories met with less demand at easier rates and witnessed heavy withdrawals. BLF teas continued to meet with a selective market with heavier withdrawals. 

DUST: 13,057 packages of tea on offer met with quite a good demand. Good liquoring Dusts met with a good demand and sold around last levels.  Mediums sold at easier rates by Tk.5/- to Tk.8/- closely following quality. Plain/BLF Dusts met with fair demand with less withdrawals than last. Blenders lent strong support with fair interest from the Loose tea buyers. 

COMMENTS: The few good liquoring varieties on offer met with a fairly good demand but all others met with less demand and were easier. These also witnessed heavier withdrawals. Blenders were the mainstay of the market with very selective demand from the Loose tea buyers. .   

Good liquoring Dusts sold well.
