TEA MARKET REPORT – Sale 41 Held on Monday 16th February, 2026

CTC LEAF:  26,183 packages of tea on offer met with a better demand.

BROKENS: Once again a limited quantity of good liquoring Brokens were a strong market and were firm to slightly dearer following competition. Medium and plainer varieties met with more demand and sold at around last levels with fewer withdrawals. BLF teas met with a strong demand and were dearer.

FANNINGS:  A small weight of good liquoring Fannings were a strong market and were firm to slightly dearer. Medium and plainer varieties met with more demand and sold at around last levels with fewer withdrawals. BLF teas met with a strong demand and were dearer.

DUST: 6,339 packages of tea on offer met with a good demand. Well made good liquoring teas met with a good demand and sold at around last levels with a few improved invoices appreciating on competition. Remainders were less sought after and there were fair withdrawals particularly end of season teas. Blenders lent strong support with fair interest from the Loose tea buyers.

COMMENTS: There was a better demand this week particularly for the good liquoring varieties which were dearer following competition. Blenders operated strongly with fair support from the Loose tea buyers.

Good liquoring Dusts sold well.
