TEA MARKET REPORT – Sale 7 Held on Monday 10th June, 2024

CTC LEAF :  21,107 packages of  tea on offer once again met with a good demand.

BROKENS: Well made good liquoring Brokens were a strong feature and were fully firm on last. Their Medium varieties met with a good demand and were mostly dearer following competition. Plainer types met with an improved market and prices were slightly dearer. BLF teas met with a fair demand at around last levels.  .

FANNINGS: Well made good liquoring Fannings were a good market and sold at around last levels whilst their Mediums were a dearer market following competition. Plain and BLF teas continued to meet with fair demand with some withdrawals.

DUST: 7,161 packages of tea on offer met with  good demand. Good liquoring Dusts sold well with Tk.5/- to Tk. 8/- higher than last levels. Medium Dusts had fair demand and sold in line with quality. Plain/BLF Dusts had fair demand with fewer  withdrawals than last. Blenders lent good support whilst Loose tea buyers were fairly active.

COMMENTS: There was more widespread demand in this sale and both Blenders and Internal buyers lent good support. All good liquoring Invoices once again met with good competition and prices remained fully firm. .

Dusts sold well.
