TEA MARKET REPORT – Sale 25 held on Monday, 19th October, 2026
CTC LEAF: 51,530 packages of tea on offer met with a fairly good demand.
BROKENS: Well made varieties with good liquors were a good market but prices eased occasionally upto Tk.5/-. The remainder met with less demand and were easier by upto Tk.8/-. BLF teas met with a fairly good demand and were a little easier over last.
FANNINGS: Well made good liquoring Fannings were good market and were a little easier over last. Medium and plainer varieties met with less demand and were easier by upto Tk.8/-. BLF teas met with a fairly good demand and were a little easier over last.
DUST: 10,451 packages of tea on offer met with a fairly good demand. Good liquoring Dusts sold well at slightly easier rates. Mediums met with a good demand but were easier by Tk.5/- to Tk.8/- following quality. Plain/BLF Dusts met with less demand and witnessed fair withdrawal. Blenders lent strong support with fair interest from the Loose tea buyers.
COMMENTS: In view of the impending holidays, market met with a little less demand with prices easing further particularly for the Medium and plainer varieties. Blenders were again active with some support from the Loose tea buyers. It was noticeable throughout the sale that select well made good liquoring varieties were well competed for with prices generally being firm.
Dusts were again an easier market.
