TEA MARKET REPORT – Sale 37 Held on Monday 26th January, 2026

CTC LEAF:  49,930 packages of tea on offer met with an improved demand.

BROKENS: Well made good liquoring smaller Brokens were again a fairly strong market and prices were mostly firm. Larger Brokens met with a little less demand and prices eased slightly in line with quality. Medium and Plainer varieties were a fairly good market and there were less withdrawals in these categories. BLF teas met with more demand and tended dearer.

FANNINGS: Well made good liquoring Fannings were again a strong market and were firm to occasionally dearer following competition. Medium and Plainer varieties were also a good market and sold at around last levels. BLF teas met with more demand and tended dearer.

DUST: 11,629 packages of tea on offer met with good demand. Good liquoring Dusts sold well at around last levels. Their Mediums were slightly easier by Tk.3/- to Tk.5/-closely following quality. Plain/BLF Dusts met with less demand at easier rates and witnessed a few withdrawals. Blenders lent strong support with fair interest from the Loose tea buyers.

COMMENTS: There was a little more enquiry this week compared to last. Blenders continued to operate strongly with improved demand from the Loose tea buyers particularly for the best varieties.

Dusts sold well.
